Southern Rebels

The Southern Rebel Drum and Bugle Crops was organized in 1960 under the direction of CJ Gai Jr. Until 1967 when the VFW was held in New Orleans they were primarily a parade corps. The "Best Marching unit" trophy has been awarded to the unit in various Mardi Gras parades each year since 1966, inclucding 1971 the Rebels represent American Legion Post 175, The Jefferson Lions Club, The Harahan VFW Post 3267. And receive support from the Jefferson Lions Club, and the Rebels booster organization. More ......
